Hi I have written a song which contains a funny line (a 9 word sentence) which a famous comedian spoke in one of his routines (on video). I read somewhere that this kind of use of a single sentence does not break copyright law -- can anyone confirm this please? More generally, how many (sequential) ...

Does US copyright registration cover me for copyright disput

Hi

I am a UK citizen and I have registered a song I've written at the US Copyright Office. If a copyright problem occured in the UK, would I be able to use this US registration in a legal defence of my ownership?
