Hello

I have received this email from fairlicensing@alamy.com and they are asking for 500 pounds (450 if paid in 7 days).

What should I do? I have a small theatre blog, zero profits from it. I removed the image immediately.

Thank you for the help. Below, the email.

Hi,

I hope this email finds you well. I am contacting you from Alamy Ltd, a leading content agency.

We have noticed that you are currently using 1 image/s from our collection on your website. We exclusively represent this/these image/s.

We have been unable to find any licenses for this usage of our imagery by your organisation and are writing to check if you have a valid license. You may have sourced this directly from the photographer, or via your Ad and Design agency. Please send us a copy so we can review and close the enquiry.

To settle your past use, please follow the link fairlicensing.alamy.com to purchase the license/s*, and enter your Case ID: KOZM8E and PIN: 325256 to access the details securely.

Or simply click here to enter the portal:

View Case Details
If you settle within 7 days, we offer a 10.00% early settlement discount as a gesture of goodwill.

In addition, we request that you remove the imagery from your website with immediate effect. Please note, removal alone does not resolve the issue as the contributor still needs to be paid for the past use of their image.

hello miky7077 and welcome to the forum,

Sadly you will find dozens of postings from others in a similar situation to yourself. The advice we give is similar in all cases. So in order not to repeat everything that has been said in those threads, please take a few minutes to look through them. As the way these companies operate is very similar, you should probably also take a look at the threads about claims by Pixsy, PicRights. Permission Machine and the Visual Rights Group.
