GRAMIX-rights?

Post by REX »

HI there,
Does anybody knows what GRAMIX-rights are?

I found this term in one Distribution contract (for CDs, DVDs...) from 2005.

Among other, (German) Manufacturer gives to (Yugoslav) Distributor full GRAMIX-rights for Distributor's territory.

I think that GRAMIX are related rights of phonograms producers, but I need some confirmation, or some law/convention where this term is used.

I'll apprecviate any help or info.

I have never heard of a licence by this name and as you probably already know, Google doesn't turn up anything useful either. If you can read german, you could check out the website for GEMA, the main German music copyright licensing organisation, although a quick search on Gramix did not come up with any results.
