But not to spam. I think it's important to link to examples of what I mean in my post. It is a question regarding whether certain things breach copyright or not and I have a variety of examples which are all different. The post is long and on topic and the links are relevant to the questions (they are links to images) and certainly not spam.
I understand this is automated and for good reason (I have forums myself which are constantly attacked by bots) but assuming you trust I'm a genuine person I was wondering if a moderator could remove the 5 day waiting time. If not I shall return then and make my post but I'd much rather get answers sooner than that.
I've been lurking the forums for a while and enjoying reading all the posts. This is a great resource.

As a forum owner yourself, I am sure you appreciate why the systems behave as they do. It is a system wide restriction, not something I can turn on and off per user.
If you really must reference external resources why not just post the name of the site for now or a partial url (i.e. "Wikipedia's site ... just go to /somepage.htm" ). You can always come back later and edit the post when you are out of the quarantine period.
Alternatively... If you make the post (as described above) and PM me the link(s) I should be able to edit your post to insert the link for you.

Wow, thank you for the quick reply!
I probably should know better but I have not encountered the link restriction option on my own forum settings. I imagine I would definitely turn it off if I did as it makes a lot of sense.
I'm mostly being inpatient in not waiting 5 days. If I PM you the entire post perhaps you could repost it, you'll have the formatting then so will probably be easier.
I'll PM you now. If it's too much bother don't worry because I can wait 5 days if need be.
Kind regards
DJLiberty
Edit: Actually it won't even let me PM you it says "To protect our users from spam messages, private messaging is not available for new users.
Private messaging will be enable after a few days if you make a legitimate post to the forum."
I guess I shall wait or perhaps try to make my post without examples but that isn't ideal. Thanks for your help.
