Can you hire out licenced fancy dress costumes

Hi I am thinking of starting up a fancy dress business. Are you able to hire out licenced copyright costumes.

Hi bexx,learly not permit you to sell other merchandise based on the same characters.
However one obstacle you may face is that companies who have already negotiated deals with the rights owners (suwithin that particular territory can also get a licence for teh same costumes. ch as Disney) may have exclusive licences, meaning that no-one else within that particular territory can also get a licence for teh same costumes.
Assuming that the licence says you can then, yes. In other words if you get a licence from, say, the Disney Corporation, to make fancy dress copies of costumes from Frozen or SnowWhite etc, then that will mean you have been given (well, sold) the right to exploit their intellectual property in that way. A fancy dress licence would clearly not permit you to sell other merchandise based on the same characters.
