Post by Lumberjack »

Over the past 40 years or so, I have written numerous articles for UK magazines and journals. I don't recall signing any copyright over, but wonder if it is OK for me to re-hash older articles using the same images (all my copyright in the first place). In many cases, the actual publishers have ceased those particular publications years ago!

Hi lumberjack
If you haven't assigned your copyright for these articles, then at most all that you would have done is to license the various publications to use them. That would apply to all the content, text and images, which you originated. And if that is so, then certainly you can re-publish the articles in whatever form you choose.

Thanks, I certainly never signed anything with the word "copyright" in it, and in most cases, didn't sign anything at all!
Just wondered.
