A.A. Milne poems - not Winnie the Pooh

Post by marymacgowan »

Greetings. I'm a singer/songwriter. I often use poems by established poets for my songs. So far I only want to share these songs with friends over the internet - but eventually I might record a CD of these songs.

Two of them use Milne's poems:

Puppy and I
The Mirror

I'm having trouble finding out if I can use these poems. Everybody seems much more concerned about Winnie the Pooh! Any advice?

Hi again Mary,
As AA Milne didn't die until January 1956, copyright in his work still has another 10 years to run. You will need to contact his literary executor, which is his former literary agents Curtis Brown, in order to get permission to use his poems.
