An example:
1) I buy a pack of 10 pens for £20
2) I split this pack and sell individually for £30 each
None of the packaging on the item says these can't be resold or not for individual resale.
No logo's are being used of the manufacture - so no trademark issues.
What are the legal rules around buying, splitting and reselling?

Re: What are the legal rules around reselling of a product?
Hi kennethmartin and welcome,
The primary legislation covering this area is the Competition Act 1998. It brought together and updated the contents of several separate Acts such as the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1977 and the Resale Prices Act 1976. There is a large quantity of secondary legislation which supplements the Competition Act.
There is nothing, per se, that says you can't resell split individual items for more that you paid for them, as after all that is the basis on which wholesale and retail markets operate. As you say, there are no copyright or trade mark issues involved here.
