The copyright licensing for your work may be arranged by organisations that collect royalties on your behalf. Generally these are non-profit making organisations originally set up by authors and artists to protect their interests.

• Writers

  Authors Licensing and Collecting Society Limited (ALCS)
  Collects fees for writers whose works have been copied, lent, rented, broadcast or recorded. Including TV and film rights.

• Art & Design

  The Design and Artists Copyright Society Limited 
  Collecting society for visual artists in the UK. Open to artists and photographers.

• Photocopies

  The CLA licenses photocopy reproduction for extracts of literary work.

• Music

  PRS for music
  Deals with recording and performance rights for music, for individuals who perform, and for venues and businesses who wish to have music played on their premises.

  IMRO
  Administers performing rights in Ireland
